A little history about Emu oil...over 40,000 years ago, the Aborigines first began using Emu oil for healing and pain relief. Following a hunt, the fat was used as a pain relief applied topically for the elders of the tribe and as a wound healer.

One of the amazing things about Emu oil is that pain relief often occurs within 5-10 minutes and will last for at least 4 hours. It is also used for treatment of burns and scare tissue. It can be used for restoring healthy, youthful looking skin, dry papery looking skin and is safe for pregnant women, babies, pets, and has been clinically proven to help reduce hair loss. Emu oil will typically have a shelf life of about 2 years and is perfectly safe to keep at room temperature. However, Emu oil can be refrigerated and it will retain its integrity for several more years. At cool temperatures though, Emu oil becomes very thick and will not dispense from the dropper. If you choose to refrigerate your Emu oil, immerse it in hot water for 10-15 minutes to soften and then it should dispense more easily.
